WRITE A SHORT FICTIONAL STORY
DO YOU WANT TO WRITE?
but don't want to go it alone ...
... get your friends involved and
have FUN creatively!
TWELVE FICITONAL STORIES
ALL IN ONE BOOK
Writing is fun, exciting, exhilarating!
But it can also be lonely, demoralising and well ... most of us just don't get round to it because we know even if we write something wonderful it will probably just sit in the infamous dusty back drawer.
TwelveTales keeps writing fun, exciting and exhilarating! ... because if you and your friends write your stories it will happen!
You do the writing, we produce the book.
Last year we completed our first TwelveTales book - 'On the Edge'- stories written by a mix of my friends and family - myself included! It was a great experience from the writing, the discussions - the hope! the despair! - culminating in a book launch - an evening when we all read the first few pages of our own story. It was lively, fun and for some of the writers has sparked off more writing projects - there are now a few novels on the go, more short stories and a children's book.
The aim of TwelveTales is not to sell lots of books - although they do make great presents and can be excellent charity fund raisers! The aim is to get writing.
So why not have a go ... invite twelve of your family, your book club, your work colleagues or just random friends who you think have always wanted to write ... and enjoy getting down to writing that story, receiving a collection of short stories written by you and your friends, and having that oh so important and brilliant fun book launch!
Friends are surprising creatures.
They might seem like normal people going about their day to day lives
... but invite them to write a story ...
On the Edge is a collection of twelve stories written by twelve friends.
Each story is linked to a different calendar month, each story is linked by the unifying theme - red
Be prepared for ...evil piskies ... a coming of age ... a cataclysmic catastrophe ... a gentle murder ...
a sorrowful tale ... a personal disaster ... a joyful triumph ...
History, romance, murder, mystery, sci-fi, comedy.
It all lurks in glorious variety between the pages of On the Edge.
